A police state is a horrible system to live in. Stalin`s Russia and Hitler`s Germany were perfect examples. But throught hitory many more such states existed.

Dilated, I think you are right in a sense. I think the majority of Americans know something wrong but mainstream media on the left and the right push Americans into believing that we must fight amongst ourselves. Conservatives must fight liberals, Democrats Vs. Republicans, Citizens Vs. illegals, east vs. west coast, think of all the news stories we here that serve to only incite differences between Americans. We are so consumed with fighting between each other that we dont realize that this only serves to distract us. We must forget our differences and realize these are all illusions, they mean nothing and while we fight over stupid fucken labels, our rights are being eroded. Its not just fucken liberals that got their rights taken away, it was EVERYONE! We need to get mad god dammit.

The funny thing, Carlos/dilated, is more that -barely- anyone feels something is wrong.
The internet is crawling with videos like this, clips of TED-like talks or, as an example, the Zeitgeist videos.
But what do you see outside the internet? You say it, Carlos, barely anything.
And guess what: The internet doesn`t mean shit. It can unify, it can separate, but it will never, IMHO, never be able to move the masses which would be needed to actually change something - at least not compared to the effects of TV. Not by far.

What your people need is another Watergate, a terrible catastrophe in the current run of events, a desaster in the government - and they need to know, not be taught, initially know, that the people who elected that government and those who let the bad things happen by not standing up, but calling out left-wing and right-wing nutjobs are the only fucking ones responsible for this huge heap of stinking threats against the freedom of man which have been piling up during the last years.

Imagine this: your grandparents were the ones whose help was part of what made Central Europe stable, after centuries of war and slaughter.
And now, you, the young and patriotic American, is being pushed around, being watched, being supressed, (this is not my opinion, this is what I get from European and American media/press) and you say "Oh, come on, there`s nobody pushing me, you`re crazy! The people up there -have- to do this so we don`t get attacked from them terrorists."

And the sad thing is, apparently the only people who are aware of this stupidity are a minority meeting and discussing on pages like this - instead of actually going outside, preaching to their fellow countrymen.

-THAT- would be patriotism.
