"One huge superiority complex", just like most of the other rich, elitist organisations out there.

"Secret societies" and conspiracy theories are really just minor details. What we`re really talking about here is good old fashioned, stupid nepotism and playing favourites; of the rich white guys looking out for one another and creating all sorts ways to do that. Country clubs, Ivy Leagues, Law firms, even political parties.

Names like "Skull & Bones" simply lend a spectre of intrigue to something pretty boring and typical.
