Lateralus By Tool and the Fibonacci Sequ...

I've been loving the Tool on here recently. This video blew me away. I had to share it with spiked. This video demonstrates Tools use of the Fibonacci sequence through out the song and in fact the album Lateralus. The lyrics are shown accompanied by images from the Hubble telescope. Also a reordered track list based on the Fibonacci sequence is included. According to the video, this is the true order the songs should be listened to in.

Ever seen how the Fibonacci Spiral relates to the great Pyramids and the Sphinx? You should pick up a book by Bob Frissle.. excellent author, have to seep through some of his slight.. fabrications.. however there is a lot of interesting things to explore. Touches on a lot of the stuff Tool lyrics discuss. Higher levels of existence, third eye, ascended masters! All that fun stuff.. just a suggestion!

Ive seen Tool 4 times now, was never dissapointed, one show my wife was asked backstage, she and her two of her friends were given a sticker with pics of various sexual acts on it and a statement "its only natural" on it. I sold them to 3 ugly goth chicks that were sitting behind us for a cool 100.

I love Tool, they are a great band.
If you are into Tool I`d recommend you to search for Bill Hicks Legendary One Night Stand. Tool even dedicated the Album Aenima to him.

I have this pack I downloaded, it was an entire gig of Bills audio. Every Letterman appearance, every cd, every live recording. Its hype. If you haven`t seen the documentary about him called Outlaw Comic(The Censoring of Bill Hicks) you should check it out.

"Over thinking, over analyzing" the damn song. Damn I haven`t listened to anything but black metal for a few months, this was a good refresher, was just thinking what to put on my ipod, i got it: Udertow, Lateralus, Opiate, Tales from the Darkside, Salival and 10000 days. Thats all i got but its going to be a refreshing few days listening to these over.

Been a TOOL fan since the beginning. I am so happy so many of these videos popped up on here, really diggin them. As a die hard tool fan i could go on and on, but I will leave it to this:

Independantly, they are incredible musicans either in the artistic sence, the technical sense, or both.

As a group, they feed off of each other like no other, and become this single energy that seems to glow.

Musically, well i could just go on, the music really speaks for itself. The sounds, the complexity, the simplicity, its magic. Many people point out Danny`s wicked drum skills, but if you listen, everyone in this band LETS Danny sound good. It is the sum of these guys, and nothing else.

Lyrically, well, this could be one of the greates gifts to TOOL fans, such cryptic lyrics, letting US have the final say in what it means, to us. You can have your own simple explanation, or you can dig deeper, and when you dig deeper with a tool song ...... just look at what you find, look at this video.

This band has dedicated so much to there art and given fans so many layers that they are often missed if one isnt looking.

Pretty neat, never would have found that out by counting the lyrics.

Fibonacci numbers are GREAT! You can find a lot of stuff in the golden ratio. Dividing the number before each on the sequence will converge into phi. phi is irrational and is 1.618 blahb blah blah forgever and ever.

Its used to create all of the "golden" shapes. The spiral is the most common and known to most people. The Pentagram is also made using phi.

These are his three works that I have read.. They are excellent!

* Nothing in This Book is True, But it`s Exactly How Things Are (1994, Frog Ltd)

* You Are a Spiritual Being Having a Human Experience (2000, Frog Ltd)

* Something in This Book is True ... (2003, Frog Ltd)

Now again, some of it.. depending on your own thoughts about the universe are somewhat direct. He basically talks about the Grey`s, the Serians and the other race that actually created us.. and he goes on about it like he knows EXACTLY how it went down. I`m personally very open to all these concepts but it`s very `take it with a grain of salt` literature if you know what I mean.

However he dives VERY deep into the Flower of Life concepts by
Drunvalo Melchizedek as well as all the different levels of existence.. the ascended masters, the idea of immortality.. basically takes all of modern spirituality and dives deep in to it. Also, a lot of this stuff is backed up scientifically if you chose to look further in to it!

Anyhow, I reccommend these books to anyone who wants to learn a bit about their third eye and introduce themselves to some very amazing concepts about the universe!
