This was on PopSci about a year and a half, perhaps 2 years ago...but my question is this: Are these pictures from working models o_O?

The ones on popsci were just conceptual (3D drawings in other words) but if these images are from working prototypes...oh man!!!

The laser keyboard has been around for a year or so now, pocket projectors are relatively new though. But they aren`t going to treplace the whole machine, just the monitor and keyboard. For now anyway...

Yeah sure...and they can fit all the computer power needed into a thing the size of magic maker. I guess this could replace normal displays for stationary computers. They won`t replace laptops. If you are on a bus, a train or just in your bed you rarely have a flat surface which these optics would work on.

i used one of the light red keyboards, it wasnt that great, sometimes it worked othertimes it didnt. And it didnt work well on certain surfaces

well the red light keyboard has been around for a while now (but is a little bigger projector than shown), a projector of this size was just announced (last CES i think) the only thing left is the pc computing power, with solid state memory and custom mobo it could be easily done. (but cause of the power usage theres no way it could be portable sry)
