This was a really good movie. Great adaptation of the classic musical. Great cast, good music. Helena Bonham Carter did a superb job playing Mrs. Lovett.

I first saw the play when I was 8 years old at the Maui Academy of Performing Arts. It was so captivating and seducing that even at 8, I was so drawn in that it instantly became a favorite. My brother was a thespian at Baldwin High so I had become accustomed to watching his plays and what not.

Almost 20 years later, the movie is released. It was even better than the play that I more or less had obsessed over for 2 decades. Tim Burton really made a masterpiece with this one.

UNCG did a great performance of this last fall, I haven`t seen the movie yet, but I really really want to. This is such a good musical, although on the darker side of things.

Murderous musical? Hollywood is really getting desperate. I will never understand Americans love for broadway muscials. I could not believe they made "Legally blond" into a musical. Phantom of the Opra and Les Misrables, now their "muscials".

The Pomie version is SO much better, there was no bloody singing. Ray Winston did a really good job as Sweeny Todd
