The Tank Man 8/8

This is a documentary about quite possibly the most famous unknown man in all of China. During the protests in 1989 at Tiananmen Square in Beijing China after hundreds possibly even thousands had been killed this man was still defiant and stood up for the people of China. I recommend looking up more information on Wikipedia (naturally) about the Gang of Four, Cultural Revolution, and Mao Zedong. An amazing man.

i`m not too keen on the idea of foreign governments going to china and overtly changing things. i think going through media, diplomacy, etc. would be better. did u hear the other day about the US navy hosting "exercises" near lebanon for their upcoming election? in their own words, the navy said they`re "sending a message." what kind of fking message are you sending? if your election doesn`t turn out the way we`d like it to, we have our military standing by? it`s true that lebanon`s recent political events were fraught with corruption and assassination, but why would you use the military, why not just say diplomatically, "we hope your next elections go smoothly, would you like any help?" it`s not like the US elections are corruption-free either. meh, end rant. good upload, kind of long, not everyone is willing to sit through it though

China seriously scares me because once their people will rise again, what will their government do to keep them under control once again?

And we all know that one of the best way for a government to control its population is war. The ancient Roman leaders knew it, Napoleon knew it, Hitler knew it, Bush knows it and China`s government probably knows it too because it is investing a lot in its army right now.
