Damn, if only I had the charisma to get into an argument and be that convincing.

Oh, what I would give to see him saying this speech straight to G. Dubya B`s face...

"Multiple impeachment resolutions have been submitted and shot down/ignored until they expired."

Not only that, they`ve barely made a blip in the main stream media. You would think that would be oh... Front page news. It seems at least as big a deal as a stained blue dress.

What a sad state the US has allowed itself to sink to. Oh well, at least we have Britney and Tom and the CoS to keep us entertained.

Phhhh, this is the same Bush who presided over meddling with CIA leadership and installing Porter Goss, isn`t it? Porter was a person that most senior CIA folks thought was way too partisan to be the new director of the CIA (this was just after he headed a congressional "investigation" into CIA & FBI performance in connection with 9/11, in which the "investigators" bent over backwards to IGNORE any White House activities during that time).

Sure enough, with Cheney`s (his political patron) blessing, Goss immediately went after old grudges stemming from sealed evidence of warcrimes in Eastern Europe being stolen, or some crap. Cheney`s idea was to use Goss to "reform" the CIA that Cheney himself had discredited by using his 100+ man taskforce that twisted the CIA`s analysis to make the case for invading Iraq to the rest of the world. No doubt "reform" is Cheney code for "politicizing."

Installing Porter Goss and his Cheney-mandated agenda of remaking the CIA into a political tool for White House staffers, caused the most senior CIA staff to resign in protest. These are the professional spooks. If you have a hard-on for domestic spying, these folks would be your allstar team. And if you honestly believe that domestic spying is barely holding back the tide of terrorism, then what do you think of Prince George`s weakening of an agency that specializes in it?

Maybe the free market has a solution? WMD intelligence on ebay, everyone - purchase through paypal for $19.99 per PowerPoint slide!

If we get attacked again, then surely it`s because the W Crew ran off the best and the brightest in the intelligence/spying business, not because liberals are whining to no end about it.

im not understanding one thing, and hopefully someone could explain this to me.
Ive seen keith olberman on spiked a few times and decided to start watching msnbc. Ive noticed that all the reporters on the channel are just as closed minded and hypocritical as on fox.... ok maybe a little less. They all read off of prompters including Keith. Why is that Keith`s ideology on politics so different if its written by the same people?

All people who what to bandy the word fascist around should have to take a test where they correctly define the term. Olberman is one of the few people who accurately uses the term. The main point of Fascism is the mixing of state and corporations. This is something that has been happening under the Bush administration whole sale.

^^ Not very much of what Olbermann says can be dismissed out of hand as a lie. Close-minded? That`s subjective. Dishonest and misleading? I think you`ll have a hard time comparing his record on reporting about this Administration`s activities to that of anyone on Fox.

It`s not a style contest (to which Keith should be eternally grateful). It`s a matter of journalism. Keith lives up to the standard (although very long-winded and pissy), Fox "News" does not, though they make more authoritative, polished soundbites -- as long as you don`t mind some bullshit statistics, made-up publications used as sources, and bald-faced lies about people, history, the people in history, economics, science, basic algebra, etc. etc.

The comparison is the same as tabloids (Feaux News "entertainment journalism charading as news") vs. BBC, CNN, etc. The difference really IS that big. The Fox falsifiers always hide behind the excuse of "it makes great television, look at our ratings!" when you pin them down about the mountain of inaccuracies in reporting and PR hitjobs on their guests.

So basically (behind closed doors and off the record), Fox News correspondents are pointing at their own viewers and laughing, "HAH-HAAAAAH! You actually believed that crap? We just made it up b/c we knew you`d tune in for it. Hey, you were free to go to a real news outlet for your info, you asshats! We just gave you what you wanted to hear! We did nothing wrong!!!" Just like the tabloid writers, only on cable.

That, in a nutshell, is the diff. Oh, and on top of that the stories they cover (and talking points therein) coincided EXACTLY with major policies and soundbites that the Bush Administration was pushing week-to-week.

Im not even going to watch it, but its probably 9 minutes of Keith Olbermann going on and on with a "holier than thou" speech in that really nasally voice of his, where he says the word "sir" like "huhsirrr" every 5 words, am I right?

I love how this dbag calls him sir and "Mr Bush" and then goes on to call him all kinds of names. What a stupid idiot. He`s preaching (hard) to the converted. He`s no less a zealot than Bill O`Reilly or Rush Limbaugh.

And I wish that he`d shut up already.

Amirite?

Hope this guy has another job lined up as he is going to be out of one once Bush is out of office.

How amusing it is that the very thing this guy hates is the only thing keeping him in business.

Maybe he will suck some top office dick to get his ESPN job back.
