This is old ass news. I`ve known this since 8th grade and it`s a clear fact that getting rid of pennies and changing prices would be better. you can make it still a value (on credit cards and such because look at gas, gas is never $3.05, it`s more like $3.0499) People just lose pennies all the time or don`t even bother picking them up.

we use good metal to make coins we should just do like the rest of the world and use cheap ass metal to make the coins. Would not bother me to use some cheap ass chucky cheese feeling coin as a quarter.

That`s why the mint keeps coming up with state quarters, presidential dollar coins and new buffalo and Jefferson nickels. They`ll sell 5 or so of those coins for $19.99 on their website. I really don`t believe the mint is losing money, they just need to adapt to different and cheaper metals

The real crime is the federal reserve charging us interest for our paper money. But you never see a show on that. The only one talking about abolishing the federal reserve is................Ron Paul

Increase in money supply would mean that the dollar value will depreciate. That is what happens when in-debt countries do in order to pay back investors, simply print more money, increase tax, and sell money inventory to foreign investors to keep the economy running. In the long run the consequence is that the dollar will depreciate, tax levied on citizens will increase, and if foreign investors lost interests and demands foreign exchange then the country will be even in-debt even more. Talk about an unsustainable and unstable economy.
