Just curious, I heard that striking a carbon steel blade against a rock you will be able to create a spark, but not with Stainless steel. Any truth to this?

My questions :

1) wheres cat?
2) How the fuck does uri geller bend metal spoons?!
3) say you want to make an object and you find the appropriate metals- can you combine (melt) metals into a completely new metal with the given attributes of BOTH ? or do you layer the metals and gain the attributes that way ? also what exactly is an alloy?
