Learned from a Chinese master...classic.

He taught himself this shit in prison.

He should have just called on the power of that moustache to turn the page; it would have worked...

5/5

BTW, I think his named is Hydrick, not Rydrik

Cant use flour either because of the humidity in the air would turn the rogue flour particles into a paste thus holding the page together...

I wonder how often these frauds, like Uri Geller, L. Ron Hubbard, or even "Jesus" (assuming he even existed), Muhammed and the countless other "healers", messiahs and magicians come to believe their own lies; if they`re able to compartmentalise the awareness of their own BS so that they know it`s fake, yet somehow believe in themselves at the same time.

edit: Found a link to an article about Hydrik`s prison activity that Wittman mentions above. Details Hydrik`s admission of fraud, as well as his use of these "powers" to convert other prisoners to Christianity.

saltesc: Well, allow me to "retort", (as Jules would say) although I don`t know if my rhetorical powers are up to the task, what with your stinging, high-brow repetition of "douche". Do I detect a hint of Oxford in your style?

Seriously, though, if you bothered to even glance at the link I provided, you would see that it`s this fraud, for one, who connects this all to religion. As he himself admits, he used his jive to convert people in prison to Christianity, using one lie to prop up another.

And if you knew anything at all about the Amazing Randi, you would also know that he too regularly uses these debunkings of sideshow frauds as a platform to discuss the larger frauds in a world that are begging to be debunked, like religion, first and foremost.

Now, I don`t know what street-corners you frequent (I do know the ones in the US tend to be particularly seedy, inhabited by homeless vets and other victims of the "richest nation on Earth) but whenever I`m in the States, the stinking, wild-eyed, wild-haired preachers are only ever the religious types. Indeed, there is a sad dearth of any intelligent response to fulminating fundamentalists who insert religion into every segment, every issue of American "society".

It is not those of us responding to this fundamentalism who are guilty of bringing religion and superstition into it; if anything we want it out - of everything.

^ prove to me jesus was a fraud. To be a fraud you must falsely claim to do certain things. Show me where he claimed to do it?

mysticman, that`s easy.

jesus said he would return within a generation, and he said he was gawd and therefore he knows all.

since it`s been 2000 years, and he hasnt returned yet, he is a fraud.

case closed. thanks.

you know, whenever anyone posts anything by dawkins or harris on here, there is always a flood of people saying things like

"Why do these mean spirited people want to rob people of their beliefs? They must be very angry, unhappy people," etc.

Why don`t they do that for frauds like this?

PS thanks, idoubtit, for such things.

PPS the $10,000 is now much higher! And the "parapsychologist" is hilarious! What a joke!

Gawd... some one bought religion into this... how the hell? What a douche. Fuckin` Atheist bashers. klavlav, you`re that guy with bad breath and weird eyes preaching the gospel on the corner that no one wants to hear, cept yours takes away hope and belief and leaves those people with nothing. I swear crazy Atheists are like the pest of society these days... It`s a fuckin 80`s TV show which is doing nothing more than explaining science over phsycic power and like... wtf!? WTF!? How dude, HOW!? Bringing religion into it is the reach around of all twists.

Douche, douche, douche.

As for the video, I`m all for the duct tape. You can never beat a well spoken man with a white beard and glasses. Never.

That`s great. These people can never do what they claim when they`re really put to the test. The guy has that "oh shit" look on his face when James Randi starts demonstrating how he does his tricks. Great post.

I thought his black helmet was supposed to amplify his psychic powers enough to overcome non-existing foamy statics. Just like Magneto.
