We know it can be done, the problem is its scientifically illigal. Science isn`t what it used to be, today its not a vehicle of development & discovery its tool of those who fund science.

Who has the funds to research & establish a source of free energy .. who will pay millions for something that wont yield any profits ?

Tesla figured out how to create free energy @ the dawn of AC but Morgan pulled his funding when he learned there wasn`t any money to be made from giving people energy for free.

Until we can combat the greed driven management of resources we are stuck with resources that cost the people & the earth itself, because the driving influence is profits not the betterment of humanities lot. We see the very same situation with medicine, produce, education ect .. all our basic needs are used to line peoples pockets @ the cost of our future .

Here`s a thought, take too magnets and put opposite poles close together, and watch them push apart. Tell me where the energy cost is, and I`ll agree with you. Otherwise, stfu.

This has been `done` before, it was bullshit then and its bullshit now. This isn`t due to capitalist energy company greed its down to the laws of physics.
Basic physics shows that Energy cannot be created or destroyed.
There is no such thing as free energy.

I do love the `mm good idea` at the end. if it was true it`d be something of an understatement!

Relic. you said where the energy came from your self. you have to push (or `put`) the magnets close together. this takes energy, you will never get more enegy out than you put in pushing them together, due to friction etc you will usually get much less energy out.

I`ll step in for jagginess here. Relic180 asked where the energy cost is of bringing two magnets together. The answer is that the energy came from the person who put the two magnets together. It`s essentially the same thing as putting a ball on a hill, letting it go and wondering what gave the ball the energy to move. Gravity is indeed pulling the ball down the hill but you are the one who gave it the potential energy by carrying it up a hill.

The reason why the "energy out of nowhere" claim is most likely bullshit is that physicists believes in energy conservation. If a machine crates energy, that energy must have been taken from somewhere. By using solid objects without destroying them to release energy (ie burning gas or creating a nuclear reaction), I don`t see a way of doing it and neither have any physicists.

As for the talk about Tesla- that`s just speculation. Sure he was brilliant but that doesn`t mean he did the things people claim.

haha, i had this idea when i was like 15, i was never able to experiment with it because i didnt have the resources. i think this idea has been around for awhile though, but i came up with it independently.

Ok, so maybe I didn`t think through the "two magnet" example very well...


I don`t know if I really believe that the invention in the video is real, it`s probably BS.

I do, however, think it`s POSSIBLE (and probably inevitable) to create a device that is more than %100 efficient, not because it`s ACTUALLY over %100, but because we can accidentally tap into energy sources that we are completely unaware of. It`s happened many times before in our past and what usually follows, is the discovery of said energy source. But it would appear before-hand to be over efficient.

Also all this talk of laws of physics. Understand that EVERYTHING in science must be able to change given evidence that it should. That`s the foundation of scientific progress, and what is scientifically proven correct today can be proven scientifically incorrect tomorrow, as our understanding of the universe slowly grows. That cannot exclude even the laws of physics. Adhearing to closely to laws just because they`re called "LAWS" does not produce results.

magnets fade with time, that`s where the energy comes from, and powerfull magnets cost alot of cash and energy to produce and/or find in the nature.
