Now this just may qualify as ironic. In a shocking photograph from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the world’s largest statue of Jesus is seen being struck by lightning.
The statue, officially named “Christ the Reedemer”, was named one of the seven modern wonders of the world in 2007. The giant statue sits 3000 feet atop a mountain, dramatically overlooking the city.
