I see the atrocities of scientology but the one thing that strikes me strange about all of this is the way the nazi regime came to power through an attack on a specific religious organization, though the reasons here are quite a lot more vivid, it`s just a strange paralel in my eyes.

^yeah I can see the resemblence between the public demand for a "pseudi-religion" that spawned from a science fiction writer from the 50`s that scams their followers into giving large amounts of money to their organization (like the voice actress for Bart Simpson, she donated $10 million to the COS...idiot) and forces their members to stay in their organization through intimidation; and the mass rounding up and extzermination of millions of people that practice a religion that has existed for thousands of years.
