Seems like to me, in an MMA setting Tae Kwon Do with all that frilly spinning in the air would get man handled if they tried anything like this.

It`s nice for show but this would be useless in a real fight.

Those kicks are not useless in MMA fight -- Let`s say the MMA fighter tells the TKD fighter -- ok... I will stop beating the hell out of you if you can do a twirly jump and kick an apple 1 ft above my head.

^I`ve never seen a 540 kick with three hits on a human being in MMA, or any other time not even in a movie.

The 540 kick is just for show, anyone who have done any kind of spin kick knows that you lose your balance and fall down 95% of the times. Keep spinning after ONE hit on a thing other than a leather flap is probably impossible since you lose a lot of momentum.

I hate shows like these that shows an MA to be somekind of superhuman thing that can kill a man three times before he hits the grounds.

Why does it always come down to "that shit gunna get you killed in a real fight". Martial arts demonstrations are d-e-m-o-n-s-t-r-a-t-i-o-n-s. The whole point is to use the fancy techniques that are useless in a real fight. These types of kicks would never even be used when two TKD fighters are sparring. You`re missing the point here, there is some genuine skill involved in these moves.
