I am not adverse to JFK conspiracy theorist, but this movie just lacks credibility.

^ Oh fuck off

Its Oliver Stone; not much more needed really.

Garrison was an asshole, and would pick and choose what information he wanted to include.

Stone`s depiction of the information involved doesn`t actually do the conspiracy community any good, but may even hinder it. Stone tries to destroy the single bullet theroy by purposely distorting what the true nature of the theroy is. Connally was not directly in front of Kennedy at was shown, nor was he at the same height as Kennedy, he was in a small booster seat off to the left and in fact below Kennedy. Stone`s diagram incorrect puts Connally directly infront of Kennedy. He also puts Connally facing forward, when he was in fact turned to the side facing Kennedy.

Now I am not saying I believe the single bullet theroy, but trying to disprove it with distorted facts isn`t right either.

He talks about witnesses, about David Ferrity; even simple facts like Oswald`s shooting reputation (he was a classified marksman) and the actually time it took for the assassination to occur (not 5. whatever seconds, but 8+).

Anyway, in many ways Stone is just like Garrison; he takes falsified information as fact. If something doesn`t apply to his set vision of events, he ignores it or simply distorts the truth as he pleases. That whole Time magazine photo being tampered with is laughable, and the fact that this court room scene never took place in reality is laughable as well.

What Stone does do well, imo, is to establish a good rational for why people would want to kill JFK, but he doesn`t establish a good enough argument to even claim such a vast conspiracy existed.

This place is a hotbed for conspiracy nuts it seems. And that is fine; questioning the official story is entirely necessary. But this movie doesn`t help the them; Stone`s portrayal is a reflection of them I think, and it is not a good one.

^Umm... No, go fuck yourself
That`s all fine and good, but if he had really let the shit hit the fan in this movie it would have been blocked, he would have been blacklisted and his career would have been over instantly. That is if he didn`t suddenly die of a heart attack while making the film. I don`t see how anything he did in the movie hurt the conspiracies. He brought a lot of things to light that a lot of people didn`t know about and most importantly by making the film he`s keeping this tragedy fresh in our minds. Besides, most of that speech was meant to be about current day events and the state of things now which is in part why I posted this.
