Its meant to be sarcastic. Even though they are doing a great job fighting over there, when they leave the country will be in shambles worse than before. Im hoping at least one viewer will change their mind about direct and sudden withdrawal of all troops from the middle east.

I agree we went under false pretenses, and that the Bush administration was just looking for an excuse to go (please don`t mistake this for me saying they were behind 9/11), but I think a goal of the middle east invasion that wasn`t really talked about is the positions we now hold against Iran. We have them flanked form Afghanistan and Iraq. Yes, our presence there is upsetting those of whom we occupy and Iran. And yes Iran holds no real threat as of yet, but Putin (Russian President) has had confirmed talks with Iran. Call me a conspiracy theorist, but perhaps they were discussing nukes and/or alliances. So with that in mind, a full pull troops would be a complete strategic disaster even though we were wrong in the first place.

the majority of iraqi citizens want coalition forces to remain there until their own government and security forces are stable enough to be self-sufficient.

that fact is not hard to perceive in light of the alternative:

increased violence due to the sunni and shiite unrest and al caeda who want to fuck everybody in the ass. let`s not forget about the `good ol days` under fascist regime where mass graves and gulags were commonplace.

Yeah, the country will have problems. But we dont have to be there to solve their problems. They can do it on their own. Which is the point. We should not be saying "Well, you probably cant do a good job, so let us do it for you!"

Yeah, no. And sorry, but even though Russia is primarily a military country, they still just dont have alot of resources right now. They WANT a war so they can go back to the good old days of running a military state. So no, staying is a very bad idea.

And damn, what do you think we have all those auxillary bases all over the world for? Tourist sites?
