i have a friend who turned out to be a pedafile. he apparently touched his step daughter a few times who was about 5, and before that when we were growing up, he touched a girl his mom was taking care of. i believe he was around 15 at the time, and she was i believe close to 8 or 9.

he did it when he was younger, and he did it again. i believe he can`t figure out what`s right or wrong. he gets the urges any normal man would get towards a woman, the only difference is NORMAL men get them towards adults, and he had them towards young children. to him, sex is sex, no matter where it comes from.

right now he`s in prison for i think 3 years, and is able to be released in 6 months on probation. how fucked up is our legal system, he should be in prison for longer.

Killing is wrong. Period. We are not animals. The guy should serve time for killing someone. The pedophile was judged, sentenced, and executed on the spot, so that`s taken care of. However there is a price for taking the law into your own hands.

I know the whole world isn`t blind to the truth of life itself, but sometimes I feel I sit here alone, staring in disbelief at some of the things people type on the internet.

I`m *all* for people being able to defend themselves and their loved ones with force if need be. There is no more basic right than that.

I also think the law should protect people who use force in self-defense. I despise this phenomena you often see where someone is "twice victimised", first by a predator, then by the "justice" system who treats the good guy in the story like a criminal.

All that having been said, I`m wary of the whole "pedo hysteria", the way that simply invoking that word turns people into a rabble-rousing mob of torch-carrying witch-burners, ready to castrate, dismember and mutilate - often without the slightest bit of evidence.

Was the deceased actually raping the kid? If he was, he deserves what he got. No argument. Simple.

But what if there`s more to the story; could this have been something else entirely? A drug deal gone bad. An argument over money or gambling debts that came to blows and ended in death. Anything.

Maybe, just maybe the boxer here is guilty of something but, knowing how critical thinking is abandoned and mob violence takes over at the mere mention of the word "pedo", this man crafted the rape story as a cover for something else entirely.

Again, if the deceased was a rapist, he deserved what he got. But we should never stop thinking critically, even (or especially) in cases like this.

^ Agreed. He got what was coming to him, but just as you shouldn`t force sexual activity on another person, you shouldn`t force the end of another person`s life.

On the other hand, this man`s excuses for killing the man are plausible, and his remorse seems sincere (in that he regrets killing someone, but doesn`t really care that the pedohile is dead now), but yes -- he killed someone, so he should serve time.

Merely subduing the perpetrator until police arrived followed by incarceration would have been the best thing, but of course, when your reaction to a sight like this is as angry as this guy claims he was, rational thought is an afterthought. You just want the bastard to pay dearly.
