tom cruise recently bought 1 of these, only a matter of time before he donates it to the church of scientology.

Only a matter of time before he donates his organs. That thing looks like a real beast.

Its fat, ugly, and can`t corner for shit. The only use for this bike is at the drag strip.

apparently, it comes limited for speed and power to make it safer to drive. If you buy a after market chip you can remove the restrictions and make it full bore.

At least thats what the dealer told me.

Replace Tuscan with Hayabusa and car with motorcycle and it`s just about perfect.

Looks just like any japanese bike to me... Goes fast and sounds the same:

MMIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE MUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
MA
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
AAAAAAA"

I`d take a Harley over it anyday:

BRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH
BRRRRRRRRRRRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHH
H
BRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH

@oddbal
your an idiot if you think that bike is too "fat" and "heavy" to dip the corners. it just means your a SQUID.. i ride with 2 guys that roll busas and they can drag knee all day. so dont try and talk shit like you know.... if old men on goldwings can dip corners and drag floor-boards you better believe that busa can smash.

@sammersd
whatever chip that dealer told you to buy is just upsaling you something. just the ecm needs a less restrictive map. that should save you about $400, they should only charge you 2-3 hours to do it. but if its in the state of CA, may as well learn how to do it yourself, cause most dealerships wont do it.

personally, i didnt care for the plastics on this new model, but the technology just keeps getting better... cant wait to see how it compares to the zx1400

^ It has a drive mode selection system which is pretty much traction control and a rev limiter for the and it has 3 leveles a b and c. C = default which means 100% traction control no tire spin and limits the revs down low for novice riders\which means limits the top speed b = squeel the tires a little increase the rev limit and speed, and A = set your tires on fire go as fast as she can. You can set it to whichever mode you want it`s not an option it`s a feature on all of them.

That dealership was trying to take advantage of you.

I`ve ridden an earlier model Hayabusa not sure now what year. The thing i remember about it other than it being fast was the side mirrors were next to fkn useless.

@johnx64

ye, same program selector as the 07 gsx1000r model. the mode selector can be bypassed if you flash the ecm and remove the mode selector switch. all the mode selector does is manage the power band, it has nothing to do with traction. just because its at option C doesnt mean a "novice" rider cant break the tires loose....

simply put; the mode selector switch is roughly this.
Mode A: full power band, unrestricted (depending on state model)
Mode B: roughly equivalent to that of the 1000 model powerband
Mode C: roughly equivalent to the 600 model powerband, often advertised as a bad-weather setting to help control taction... dont be fooled into thinking it will actually help you control traction; its just a shorter powerband so you are less likely to break traction.

a better fix would be to just learnhow to control your bike better; but most people dont. this feature is basically a new-age abs system for bikes... they apply it to make squids feel more comfortable about buying larger displacement bikes.
