Blue Planet, "The Dark Zone - Part 2

Living things which are capable of creating their own light are called 'bioluminescent'. Science has known ever since William Beebe explored the darkness of the deep ocean that many deep sea marine species have glowing spots in strategic places or patterns on their bodies.

We dont need to look to space. All we need to do is look in the sea. I am sure all we need to know is there

^Uhhh no. We look for space for how we were created/other intelligent life forms (Octopus`s are not considered intelligent) and possible resources (We will eventually run out on this planet).

Kanthalas, it is more likely we will find some sort of geothermal energy within the reaches of our own planet. We would be able to harvest it much easier. It is also more likely that our species originated from that of those in the ocean than from the emptiness of space. Overall, it seems more practical to understand the flourishing ocean than the bleak outer space.

^ but life on earth originated from matter from space to begin with, even ocean life. One is not more or less important, because we`ll have to know as much as we can about both places if our species is to survive too many more thousand years.. eventually there will be a hurdle, and we`ll either know enough to get over it or we won`t.

simply amazing.
new species are found down there every day.
fascinating how they can survive in such a desolate zone.

"^Uhhh no. We look for space for how we were created/other intelligent life forms (Octopus`s are not considered intelligent) and possible resources (We will eventually run out on this planet)."

Probably, but that doesn`t mean we shouldn`t conserve resources and search for new and better ways to use renewable sources.

"What the fuwk? That pea sized little creature shoots bombs the size of shrimps?"

No the shrimp shoots bioluminesent liquid that distracts the pea sized creature so the shrimp can escape.
