A better idea is get an oxy-acetylene blow torch, set it up for a large blue flame, extinguish the flame but do not alter the gas mix ratios, insert the nozzle into one of the mole runs , turn on the gas, wait 5 or 10 mins, remove nozzle turn of gas.
Then chuck a lighted match down the hole. Kaboom no more moles.
