Defense of others isn`t psychopathic. This movie looks no more violent than Braveheart or Braveheart 2 (AKA The Patriot) and in each case it is a story about a man (or men) driven to protect their freedom, their rights, their family, or those who cannot protect themselves. You may disagree with the portrayal of Americans, either because you`ve measured your beliefs carefully or because hating Americans is the new fashion and `safe` politically, but John Rambo defending innocents against `the other` is no less an ideal than the man defending his wife against the intruder.

Put another way, if John Rambo was Jacob Rambowitz and this was set in the world war two theater circa 1943, and they were German soldiers instead of (insert unidentifiable Asians here), you wouldn`t have called him a psychopath. Or, at least, you shouldn`t have.
