They make too much money anyway. Maybe a tighter budget will give them incentive to make better movies than the heroin influenced crap they`ve churned out the past 5-10 years. Downlaod movies, steal some back ;)

It`s the middlemen who are mad about sharing because it cuts them out of the equation.

If I made an exact copy of someones handbag and walked off with it, leaving them with the handbag they started with and none the wiser, would that be stealing?

I always make sure I seed movies I download for a long time. That way I know that if the corporations want them back they have plenty of opportunity to download them off my hard drive.

If I download or get a pirate copy of a film, and I enjoy what I see, I always buy it when it comes out anyway. Seeing as I can get free rentals due to a family member working at my local Blockbusters, I seldom have to download anything anyway, to be honest.

Honest thought in my mind:

if someone spends money and time to make a product and expects $$$ back from his efforts from every person that wishes to see his work; how can you not call it stealing if you watch it without paying?

But then again, if a friend lends you a DVD it is not considered sealing...

Unhonest thought in my mind:

Lots of people wish they had a ferrari; but, since it`s so expensive to own one, 99.99999% (rounded off) of the people that want a ferrari, won`t buy it.

Now if you could somehow clone this ferarri, using a small ammount of electricity, does that mean that ferarri lost money because you would have otherwise bought one of their cars?

Not really, cause you wouldn`t have in the first place.

That`s a shift from not spending money and not having what you want, to not spending money and having what you want. It`s completely irrelevant to the profits/losses of the company.

So really, how can a company lose money off a person that wouldn`t have given them money in the first place.

Where is the middle line in this issue?

well, in response, personal example: I wanted to watch a documentary on Iraq`a guns for hire... and was about to dish out the 30$ to buy it... but then I found it on limewire and watched it without paying for it. Had I had no choice, or had I been convinced that P2P = stealing, I would have bought it and money would have gone to the people that literally risked their lives to make this product.

hard to judge aint it ? ;)

Sheesh, what have some of you guys got against admitting that you`re stealing? I mean, hey, I`ve done it myself...but I don`t delude myself with unteneble excuses.

Sure, there are a few gray areas of copyright law...but making copies of protecting material is not one of them. It doesn`t matter one bit what you think of how much they charge or the middleman getting his cut. Just admit that you`ve broken the law, however minor the moral infraction may be.

Stealing is a great crime that can cost one dearly on the day of judgement; and even for non religious people it is an act that is looked down upon by many a people...

Therefore people will try to twist their perceptions and find every excuse in the book just to be able not to call it stealing. But the fact is ...

when i look at a painting is that stealing.. if its a good movie ill buy it i have all the lost and athf but im not going to buy the shit that comes on tv and the movies these days. i have a 360 i have the choice to mod it but i wont and i have over 15 games i will steal music and movies and im sorry but i dont care a good movie is meant to be thought provokeing not a money grabber so when you start actualy trying i might try and open my wallet a person in a movie dose not deserve anymore money then some one who paints beautiful pictures for free because they like it. look at the spears phonominon
