man i have no right to say who the best is, but tom is fuckin for sure one of the top. i loved rage. u always know when its tom playin he has his own sound i guess? either way ur right at 4:18 he makes it look fuckin easy! and wtf? did i hear audioslave covering seven nation army at 4:47?

tom is definatly a great guitar player, even though he doesnt have some of the mind blowing solo`s like some other guitarists he has one of the best styles around that really defines his playing.

That`s the mark of a truely great musician, he doesn`t have to be the most technically skilled player in the world but he completely owns his own unique (and amazing) sound.

Being the true Rage fan that I am, Audioslave is such a gigantic disappointment. And I would definitely say that this is not Tom`s "Best of." I honestly don`t think he utilizes all his skills with Audioslave like he did with Rage.

It`s a shame he didn`t play the solo like that for I am the Highway. There was a solo he did in Cuba that was awesome.

If you want to see the trick at 4:18 done better, and i mean crazy better watch Michael Angelo Batio do it. And the song he plays is good even with the super speed playing style, which i generally dislike.

i agree audioslave was a huge step down from RATM and the solos became a lot less creative, but theyre still great. RATM will always be king

yeah i saw Michael Angelo do that trick on his weirdass guitar. Morello just makes it look extremely smooth

think Tom is great, not so much in Audioslave... However he would be nothing without using Wah and effects. Like trying to play the soundgarden solo was so weak.

Yeahh, Tom Morello is pretty awesome.
I saw Audioslave a few years back in 03` when they played at lollapalooza- they were absolutely incredible. Really great musicians, all of them.

i`ve never been really impressed with tom morellos since the first rage album.

every song is the same, every solo is just squeaky noise with whatever pedal he`s into that month, and is fairly uncreative.

why is it that every rage song sounds like every other rage song, and every audioslave song that chris cornell didnt write sounds like weak version of the rage song (they only have one).

yeah i see what you mean by "overplayed" cuz they were pretty popular a long time ago and they still have a big fanbase, so generally the songs are gonna get old because lots of people still like them, and radio stations think the songs are still fresh.
i dunno how many times a song has lost its edge cuz the local station plays it every 15 minutes.
