Actually Nirah, if you watch the show cops then you see that they get lines like that all of the time. The chic was wrong for taking off, the cop was wrong for not verifying the story, and you are wrong for being biased.

Said it before, I`ll say it again. Police are violently out of control in the US.

The woman should have just kept going to the hospital. If you stop, you risk tangling with some half-wit, testosterone poisoned thug with a badge and a gun and a hard on to misuse either or both.

Yes, of course, cops get lame excuses *all the time*.

And you know what? People speed to hospitals *all the time*, too, when there`s an emergency.

If you`re trying to get to the hospital and you have a cop on your tail, try to keep your wits about you and use your cell phone to call 911 and explain the situation. You may still face hell when you get to the hospital, but at least you`ll be there to ensure that whatever health crisis you`re handling gets dealt with.

Better that than someone you love dying while waiting for Bubba to finish his donut before running your license and registration.

down here in my country, the police if they find you will eventually escort you to the hospital of your choice even if you`re speeding. Some might stay awhile to see if everything is alright or just to wait for the baby if the emergency involves pregnancy or anything.

she wasn`t wrongfully roughed up at all. she broke the law. sucks it has to happen at such an awful time but it did. she was speeding and ran from a police officer(tho i would have done the same if our roles were reversed)

also, wouldn`t it have been wiser for her to call the hospital and ask if he were their instead of driving down their?

What sucks is that cops are fed bullshit every single day by people trying to get out of shit which makes police take your true story with a grain of salt.

The cop could have verified her story, but she could have done something better, as someone mentioned, actually CALL the hospital instead of flying down the road and then running from the police.
