Atomic Bomb

Some excellent footage of an atomic bomb, from way back when...

I was told this is from the movie 'The Day after Trinity'.

Ahh nuclear bombs....Love watching these huge catastrophic explosions. The radiation would suck though.

question... how do cameras survive those footages? i mean how can they report what they see without even being affected themselves.. not so much as a mm of shake ?

Yea the footage does seem like from a movie, but I've seen this on tv before, and Im pretty sure it was a documentary. So i guess not. Good question too, how do the cameras survive these Atomic blasts? Can anyone answer that?

they set the cameras side on in heavy concrete a fair distance away to escape the initial brunt of the force but close enough to see the effects

Its crazy the bombs they have now are like 100x more powerfull then the ones that were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

"ts crazy the bombs they have now are like 100x more powerfull then the ones that were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki."

Not only that, now most ICBMs and SLBMs carry MiRVS, or multiple warheads that can hit several targets independently usually 5 - 8 each. Now an Ohio class boomer has 24 missles times 8 warheads... equals 192 targets. And thats just one boat. :O

If you slow down the clip you can notice that the paint gets wiped off the vehicles.

yeah those are slow mo and have alot of protection probably, and theyre also probably very aerodynamic so that the blast rarley effects them..
