Note that this is the first film. When it says PART 1 in the beginning of the film, it is explaining that it is the first film and NOT part 1 of 2 like I described in the title.

I Am Legend has made $225 million dollars in the US in 24 days of release

how can there be complaints about pirating when that movie was so shitty and yet still made so much bank

don`t take away piratebay! anyways. i am so impressed by how quickly intrusions upon swedish law by high ranking offices were dealt with. 3 frickin days man. and young ppl can have such an influence on bringing issues to light in the political arena. also saddened by the fact that non native speakers of english are so fluent and eloquent compared to a large portion of people in the united states. might be because those intervewed were interviewed because of their 2ndary language skills, but meh. oh yeah, and is mininova up? that one guy said he uses mininova, unless this minidoc was filmed a while ago

The best way to combat piracy is to develop new technology. Think about it; if there were more IMAX theaters or something entirely new, people would pay to go see the movies. You can`t download the IMAX experience through a torrent. This way, the people are still happy by downloading the movies, and at the same time people would pay more money to see the movie in an interesting and fun environment. It would all balance out. Then maybe the MPAA would stop fucking bitching and actually think of an idea for both parties to be happy.

^A better way is for the "entertainment" companies to get their heads out of their asses and keep up with changing technology. If a film is released in theatres and i can get a decent rip online... Hell, i`m lazy... I will often watch the (often low quality) rip. However, release a high quality streaming or limited time download for a decent price (a la iTunes) and Bam! Watch your profit skyrocket. I download a shit load of stuff, but i also use net flix and still go to theatres for films i deem worth seeing in the theatre. The Film industry needs to get some intelligent people on board and stop bitching about something that can`t be stopped.

because of shit like this they are taking down the best site day by day example TORRENTSPY, DEMONOID best sites in the world until they screwed them. thats why i dont tell nobody no more where i download shit, because they give the sites on to friends and so on and over use the damn shit until some high official finds out.... so lets stick together and everytime they ask you were you got that from just say "A FRIEND"

even AXXO has left us becuase of shit like this. long live AXXO

Greedy Hollywood Assholes!!! It`s the over paid producers, directors & actors that drive demand for file sharing. They for some odd reason think they should walk away with 10, 20 even 100 million for their piss poor projects. They`ve been over paid long before the internet and any of this began, all they do is make shit. 90% of the movies I see at the theater at $10+ a pop I`m disappointed with. Cut the salaries, make decent movies with the millions saved and maybe the piracy wont dent the bottom line.

If you think about it, when I Am Legend came out that`s only 10,000,000 bittorrent downloaders (according to them). Since I`m sure they are not all downloading the same movie, lets assume 1,000,000 are doing so. 1mil * $13 per movie(silver city theatres) is aprox. $1,300,000 lost - and this is assuming that ALL OF THEM downloaded it and didn`t also go to the theatre if they really liked the movie. That movie made about $77.2 million, which I guess would have been $78.5 million according to what was said. That means they made a stink over a 1.7% loss, then made it worse. :/ No wonder why the movies suck these days, says allot I think.
