My personal take on it is that we aren`t necessarily reincarnated, more so that we are watching other people`s lives to learn from them or something.

If those are memories, that means there are neurons in his brain that correspond to what he remembers. So far we know memories could be made by vision, hearing, and sense of touch but there might be other ways the brain could receive information. there are just too many things we still don`t know about the brain.

The more i watchd this the less believable it became.
Really bad accents + wacked out spook music didnt help. I would think this would be classed under `mocumentary` like that `we didnt land on the moon` one

^ agree

but entertaining none the less

Obviously, this is designed to be "Weekly World News" ratings grabber, complete with dramatic-emphasis music and images. Otherwise, the show would have taken a more scientific approach, rather than focus on story line.

old the things that matched were vague coincidences. never listen to attention seeking children. if you give them the attention they`ll strive off it and believe their own lies. kids suck

^however in the end, the conclusion was that there were some coincidences.. as it stated but no hard evidence. children are clever little shits and a five year old can easily state things that he has seen on tv. farm house, sea side, dog. how often do you see that on the tv? time and time again.i`m just bitter because i was expecting a better ending.

It seems to me that he made up a story and stuck with it. Look at how his mom treats him - whenever he talks about his Barra life she comforts him and pays attention to him. She`s reinforcing that behaviour and that`s why he insists on the story. Also look at how they ask him questions "was this the house?" and then he just nods. After the trip to Barra and the seriousness with which his claims were addressed, he wasn`t able to say "I made it up" - that would make it seem like he were wasting everyone`s time.

The white house, the family name, the dog, etc. were clearly coincidences. They picked a house with owners of the name Robertson and it was white and matched in other ways (it was near the water, but then again, it was on a small island...), but also, in shots of houses on Barra you can see that they`re almost all white.

Creative kid, gullible adults. I can`t believe that guy works at a university. He sounds like he actually believes in reincarnation. What a nut.

im sorry but im really finding it hard time believing this is all fake and that its all coincidences.why? cuz hes been telling the same story over and over again for 3 years and with more detail. Even if he was wrong about a few things, like his fathers name Shane, if i were ask u questions of about ur early childhood life, u would have some difficulties as well, and keep in mind this kid went through death, he must have forgotten some things. as for treating her son with so much attention, they are on television, of course they would want to look like there in a good family.

^and pleez... dont call people who believe in reincarnation a nut. its a belief in Buddhism and in Hinduism as well. its like saying Christians that believe in heaven and hell are nuts as well. show some respect.

Since the father`s death and his name doesn`t match up, we could assume this is false. What I noticed is that the island is dotted with many white houses and surrounded by beaches. Any one of those houses could have been one of his, it just seems that he read his mothers and the doctors facial reactions as he went to "his past house." The dog description was also wrong, because it was not owned by the family.

What I am hypothesizing is that someone had mentioned some story as he was an infant and he was able to recall the story when he gained the ability to speak in an almost sevant type manor. This would also fit with the Taylor child and his recollection of his grandfathers "memories".

Perhaps there is more out there than after death, but there is still no tangible evidence to support such claims, which leads me to look away from the irrationality behind it.
