L3b3rt: Waving them around isn`t "hard" they are just like most weapons then, keep them steady and don`t do anything stupid or you hit yourself in the face.

The hard part is trying to avoid them as soon as they hit something and bounce back, in that regard sticks and staffs are far superior to linked weapons.

The real lesson of linked weapons lie in the understanding that all actions have an effect that can harm you in the end. Also they easier to conceal then a long staff.
