RON PAUL:

Question: What is your opinion on the war in Iraq?
Answer: I favor immediate and orderly withdrawal of U.S. troops.
Explanation: On the House floor on January 11, 2007, Paul said, "A military victory in Iraq is unattainable, just as it was in the Vietnam war. As conditions deteriorate in Iraq, the American people are told more blood must be spilled to achieve just such a military victory. 20,000 additional troops and another $100 billion are needed for a ?surge.? Yet the people remain rightfully skeptical. Though we?ve been in Iraq nearly four years, the meager goal today simply is to secure Baghdad. This hardly shows that the mission is even partly accomplished." [More]

Question: What is your position on immigration in the United States?
Answer: Build a fence along the border. I am opposed to granting legal status to illegal immigrants.
Explanation: In a column on April 4, 2006, Rep. Paul said, "We must reject amnesty for illegal immigrants in any form. We cannot continue to reward lawbreakers and expect things to get better. If we reward millions who came here illegally, surely millions more will follow suit. Ten years from now we will be in the same position, with a whole new generation of lawbreakers seeking amnesty." [More]

Question: Do you believe the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts should be made permanent?
Answer: Yes
Explanation: Named House`s "top tax cutter" by conservative Human Events magazine. Supported extending cuts through 2010. (Source: CNN)

Question: Should federal funding of embryonic stem cell research be expanded?
Answer: No
Explanation: Asked at a May 3, 2007 MSNBC GOP presidential debate whether expansion of federal funding of embryonic stem cell research would progress under his administration, Paul replied, "programs like this are not authorized under the Constitution." Paul also voted against a bill expanding stem cell research on June 7, 2007.

Question: Do you favor or oppose the concept of universal health care in America?
Answer: Oppose
Explanation: In an online column, Paul wrote, "The lesson is clear: when government and other third parties get involved, health care costs spiral. The answer is not a system of outright socialized medicine, but rather a system that encourages everyone ? doctors, hospitals, patients, and drug companies ? to keep costs down. As long as ?somebody else? is paying the bill, the bill will be too high." (Source: LewRockwell.com) [More]

Question: Do you favor or oppose legalized abortion in the United States?
Answer: Oppose
Explanation: Rep. Paul is opposed to legalized abortion but says the issue should be left to the states.

Question: Do you favor the concept of privatization of Social Security to any degree?
Answer: No
Explanation: According to the Cato Institute, "Paul contends that Congress must stop spending in order to best fix the problem of insolvency. Paul opposes personal accounts because he believes Social Security is unconstitutional. Instead, he believes that individuals should have total control over how to invest their money and is in favor of cutting payroll taxes to allow this to happen." [More]

Question: Do you favor or oppose giving the president a "line-item" veto; that is, the ability to remove parts of a spending bill without needing to veto the entire bill?
Answer: Oppose
Explanation: In June 2006, Rep. Paul voted against a bill that gives the President the power to propose a veto of any provision of a bill that results in an increase in budget authority and establishes requirements and creates procedures for congressional consideration of the proposed vetoes. [More]

Question: Do you support federal assistance for the production of ethanol and/or biofuel as an alternative to oil?
Answer: No
Explanation: Paul voted against the Long-term energy Alternatives for the Nation Act, which includes making funds available to accelerate the use of clean domestic renewable energy and alternative fuels. He also voted against the Bush administration`s national energy policy which would have added to the requirement that gasoline sold in the United States contain a specified volume of ethanol. (Source: On the issues)

Question: Do you favor or oppose a constitutional amendment defining marriage as between one man and one woman?
Answer: Oppose
Explanation: On July 18, 2006, Rep. Paul voted "no" on a House resolution calling for such an amendment. [More]

Question: Do you favor or oppose the use of the death penalty for certain crimes?
Answer: Oppose

So Muufley who do you propose? Which candidate do you support?

Which candidate wants to end the war in Iraq right now?
Which candidate wants to end our quest for empire?
Which candidate wants to end our quest for imperialism?
Which candidate wants to end the patriot act?
Which candidate wants to end the IRS?
Which candidate wants to end the Federal Reserve?
Which candidate wants to end the war on drugs?
Which candidate wants to end Nafta and Cafta?
Which candidate wants to end the WTO and the IMF?
Which candiadte wants to end the National ID card?
Which candidate wants to restore our rights and liberties?
Which candidate wants to end all embargos and sanctions?
Which candidate wants to open trade to all nations?
Which candidate wants to end the Fascism that has taken over this nation?
Which candidate wants to end big government and big business working together?
Which candidate wants to end corporations control over our government?
Which candidate wants to end corporate welfare?
Which candidate wants to cut all funding to Isreal?
Which candidate believes in peace?
Which candidate believes in the Constitution?

If you can name me one candidate that believes in those things, I will no longer support Ron Paul.

Because regardless of what you think. Somethings are more important.

Very emotive compilation of footage and audio, kudos to the person/people who created this.

As I`m not a citizen, it`s hard for me to feel as strongly about the current US presidency as many of you do...due to the fact it doesn`t affect me AS severely (yet).

This whole trend to "bash" the USA is growing, I see it every time there`s a gathering of dignitaries here (Aus) -18 year old kids with absolutely no idea what they’re protesting about, shouting prefabricated chants...When I’ve approached them to ask what they’re exactly rebelling against (in depth and detail), their response almost always is “America are stealing Iraqs oil” or “George Bush is a puppet”...I can’t begin to explain how retarded this generally makes many of them sound. Granted, I’m sure there are those who know exactly what they’re protesting, rather then following the crowd mindlessly.

I’m not pro-war (Middle East) and I’m not pro-Bush...from where I sit, I cant begin to describe the problems I see with the current government, and the quagmire it has lead its people into. But it’s not my fight yet, and from what I see, many people look like they`re finally willing to take it up.

I’d be a narrow minded fool if I were to not realise that the outcome of this next election will affect the world.

Have the balls to vote for who YOU feel will serve YOUR country for its people. Take back what belongs to you. Videos like this (however well made) are ultimately shit...Read, watch, and understand EVERY element...not just what sounds good on the day.

The time for 2nd chances is now, If you fuck this up, the outcome will affect us all.

5/5 for Sigur Ros, and MLK

Only question you need to ask is which candidate has the best shot at cutting off corporate interests in Congress.

Profit margins are driving the debates in Washington. The military industrial complex is booming at the expense of this nation`s prestige, the value of our dollar, the lives of some troops, the lives of millions of Iraqi citizens, etc. The state of health care is killing more Americans each year than any mysterious "organization" like Al Qaeda, and the pharmaceutical industry is booming.

Lobbyists representing these special interests buy off the key members of both parties, which is why things never change. Which candidate seems most willing to take on their own Party for no political benefit? Maybe the one who ran on a third party ticket in 1988?

Who has been making statements that go against Party talking points all this time, in practice threatening his own party with reforms? Who is the true reform candidate? This country is truly lost and too many people are too lazy and too cowardly to engage the issues. Therefore they need someone they can trust to maintain consistency in their values and judgment.

Ron Paul is the best bet for this. All the other Republican candidates are a ridiculous gamble on whether they will even remember what they said in their campaigns.

lol do you guys actual think you have choice?

LMAO,

you didnt the last TWO times what do you thinks gonna be different this time?

Short answer: Nothing!!

The unfortunate reality is you guys are too weak to take back your country, the rest of us will have to do once you guys go too far (just like hitler did, most coutried, including AMERICA, allowed hitler to goto war to fight terrorism, they only went against him when he went too far, you know, death camps, that sort of thing)

The nazi`s didnt loose WW2, they just moved to america!!

^ You know, there were no loosers in WW2, only losers. I can`t argue with Americans being weak of mind and lacking in real patriotism. But your cynicism is cheaper than your mother`s undergarments, and just as stinky.
