I don`t mind the Spiked logo but I didn`t understand the `run it 3 times` thing. You take the third hole card on the river? Gee, let`s make poker more complicated. 5/5 for poker.

^yeah. anyone able to explain what the hell just took place? the pot was at about 750K, a queen comes on the river giving the guy a house, but then i notice the pot says 247K. Then a three comes on the second river and so again the guy has a house, pot stays the same, and then the eight which seals for the other guy a straight but the pot still stayed at 247K. I have no idea what the hell that was about. Anyone????

WOW! My respect for Patrick Antonius just went up really high.

Ok if you " run it" more than once what happens is they chop the pot by however many times it is run. A run would include a new river card for each run. If you win 2/3 "runs" you get 2/3 of the pot, in this case instead of losing everything Patrick won back 220K+ thanks to the 3rd run otherwise he would have lost the entire pot if he had run it only twice like he planned.

Well when its 750,000 dollars in the pot obviously the players are a little scared so they will compromise, and run the last card (the river) as many times as they want to in order to save them from going completly broke

^watch the video again, there are 5 burn cards

Running the turn or river several times in games like these is simply a way for players to reduce the level of variance. By reducing the variance, results tend to be closer to the winning %s.
