That wasn`t an interview, it was an assault, and not only did he stand his ground, he made russert look like a fool. No other candidate, from either party, is saying what needs to be said or has any plans to do what needs to be done to fix this country.

There might be some people watching this who think that Ron Paul got "pwned" or caught out in this interview by a clever and skilled reporter, and that he started to sweat or buckle under pressure, while the reporter appears all calm...

I think that this reporter had a premeditated plan to attack Ron on these issues through careful selective use of information that goes way back, and I would love to see wether or not the other candidates get such a rough time while on air. This was done to make Ron appear like a man who changes his stance on issues the time. That was the goal here...

However, I think that Ron Paul answered these attacks with a humble dignity, and an unwavering ideology. What a legend!

What an asshole.... but hey, if this douche bag can`t find any REAL crap on RP, GL to any other peice of shit media man who tries.

Face it people, hes the only hope for america. Most other candidates are either waiting for an economic crysis or for the arrival of the Amero. If the dollar crashes, which it will with our current policies, what better idea then to put the weight behind Canada and mexico aswell? You people are in for a big change along with global unionization if you dont fight for your rights. All you gotta do if vote RP for P!!!!

I pray to never see this man in office. if he will win America will be in screwed. people will not have an education, they will most likely be high on drugs and most likely drive while high. half of the middle aged people will lose their social security which they need. (he forgot to mention that if you make more then 94,000 annually you don`t pay social security tax). so many things to say about the crazy of ron paul. if we do pull out at the rate he wants we will create more terrorism. (we created it after we didnt help rebuild Afghanistan after the Russian invasion, thats why there is terrorism). please to all who think Ron Paul is cool, just like i did at first. think to what the outcomes will be after all the things he wants to get rid of. please think before you vote and keep away another bush like president like him.

Thats probably one of the stupidest things i`ve ever heard. It sounds more like you hate libertarians, your talking about worst case scenario assuming Ron Paul was really as extreme as you make him sound. Didn`t you watch the interview? He didn`t say he was going to rid public education, and even if we had a president that did, im sure schools would still be readily avalible to the majority of Americans.

So do you REALLY support social security? We`ll, theres no way in hell your gonna see any of it, were basically going to be paying up the ass for the baby boomers once they retire. The system wasn`t ment for people to depend on when it was made, it was ment as a suppliment. RP said he would continue Social security for thoes already dependent on it, and the money for that doesn`t have to come right out of our pockets with the serious spending cut back. Either way, your never going to see any of it

Why do we support this idea of governments taking care of people? Acting like a parent once we move on ourselfs, its rediculous. Seriously, America started on independance and its citizens need to start taking responsibility for themselfs.

This Show should be called meet the Pricks. Just like almost every other news show on TV they attack Ron Paul. they try to trap him with double edged questions, quickly changing subjects and giving him 8 subjects to try and answer all at once. And for a reported who should care about more the truth and know all the facts be assaulting him like that. This "interview" reminds me of when I am in a argument with my two roommates that will bombard me at the same time with a millions questions and not fully letting me answer one before the other comes at me with another.

Yea he get rid of the Gov educational system its obsolete. I see myself as a very intelligent person I first went to private grade school then public high school. So I have seen both worlds. And going to Public after Private was taking about 2 steps back. yea their were a few students above and beyond but the whole system of learning was horrible.

And I am wiser now because of an open mind and believe it or not Some TV and the internet. And I have learned that are freedoms in the so-called free country are going away left and right. I am also glad to people from other countries have interest in Paul as well. Cause they are an outside influence, and the fact that they care who we elect next is a sign that we are in some serious trouble is Ron isn`t elected.

Hell I`d probably almost leave the country cause we would take a nosedive into Shit. Vote or die!!!! by someway or another, but probably Gov Funded. P.S. if you really think about it were in some ways in the same state as the movie V for Vendetta.

Paul looked horrible. He failed. Other than his "cult-following", no one will vote for him.

If only meet the press did this to the rest of the candidates and politicians. Then people would see that both republicans and democrats are idiots (including Paul).

Ron paul won`t be president. I don`t care anything about his cult following, all I know is he doesn`t even have support from most of congress. He`s not really democratic, and he`s not really republican, and that mean`s he`ll be congress` bitch if he takes office. It doesn`t matter how idealistic your views are, or how much of a vision you have, if you don`t play ball, no one is going to support you in office. Republicans are going to press him to push their agendas, and Ron Paul is going to cave in, because he needs their support incase he needs to veto something, or pass his own bill.

Here`s how it`ll work: Congress will propose a bill, Ron Paul will veto the bill, and the veto will get overturned with a 2/3 majority. He`s gotta play ball so he doesn`t look weak. And when a president looks weak, then no one is gonna love him. When Ron Paul say`s he`s going to get rid of the CIA or FBI or whatever he wants, Republican Senators (the party he`s running for) will try to talk him down, and if Ron Paul refuses, then he won`t get any support at all. "Checks and Balances," and he`s going to get checked at every turn.

This is IF he takes office. Which is why I don`t think he has a chance at the presidency.

Ron Paul sets fire to a large hot pool of gasoline with his message of peace and responsibility. Millions of people have fucking had it, and he voices well the reasons.

The message that Ron Paul speaks is true, and it`s all that matters. To those above that don`t like him, you had better think about what he has to say. His potential presidency is far less important than what IS HAPPENING, for reasons he correctly spells out. Like it or not, he is pointing to the inevitabe future, that we will all HAVE to deal with.

Social security IS dead. I`m Canadian, and I`ll never see a penny here either. All stolen by our dear governments.

Wars are a failure. The US will be broke and failed before it could hope to succeed in it`s current agenda. Hell, it`s half way down right now, and China $$$ is not willing.

Governments must be put in check. WE THE PEOPLE must decide for ourselves. We must take care of ourselves. Governments were supposed to be our organizations to help us, but this IS A FAILURE. Complete restructuring or replacement are our only solutions. The American `Founders` were wise and right in their asessments of how it should work, and Ron Paul is timely in his reminder of that.

When I first heard Ron Paul speak, my only concern was that he wouldn`t guard us against corporations (which I view as predatory nightmare monsters at this point in history).

Now I support him 99%. The fact is that our goverments are ALL ABJECT FAILURES at protecting us from anything. If anything, they are simply concentrated weak spots, big red bull`s eyes for corporate attack. Put all the power hungry and greedy folks together, let them write all the rules, and as should be expected they have almost entirely sold out everything to the highest bidders... corportations.

Governments are a failure. We need less of them, not more. Less BS laws, and less corrupted politicians charging us to write even more of them. It just doesn`t work.

We will move forward or perish.

I found the presidential analysis at the end far more intruguing and pertinent frankly.

If Ron Paul wants more widespread appeal he needs to justify the elimination of agencies specifically or at least clarify how he wants to change them if that`s what he really means. He also needs to substantiate his claims foreign non-intervention will be sufficient to eliminate various forms of taxes with solid FACTS and FIGURES. Tim did rapid fire him a bit, especially towards the end, but early on Paul was given plenty of chances to be specific and while he made some interesting anecdotes he stopped short of clarifying anything.

I feel he stands for a respectable ideal, but I don`t see him providing a clear pragmatic solution.

Either way at the very least he has raised valid issues in this presidential campaign and at the most given his current support, he will continue to be an influencing factor in years to come as a proponent of libertarianism and there`s certainly nothing wrong with that.

These "news people" must really be pressured to bust Dr. Paul`s balls to keep interrupting him and making him answer the dumbest of questions in order to make him look bad. I mean what does the station or the interviewer have to lose from letting the guest completely answer the question?
