A wave cloud is a cloud form created by atmospheric standing waves. When this type of atmospheric cloud wave forms, it is because a stable wave structure is moving through the clouds.

these are pretty neat. they are called gravity waves, which are waves that occur at the interface between two adjacent fluids. they are not to be confused with gravitational waves, which are fluctuations in the fabric of space-time caused by massive objects.
