Fuck the US version of the office, how come Americans have to remake every popular foreign movies/series. Is it because if the accent doesn`t sound familiar you won`t like it ? I have a friend (american) he won`t watch Pan`s Labyrinth because he needs to read the subtitles. It just seems lazy/ignorant to me.

btw its not because pan`s labyrinth is in spanish, but because the act of reading the titles takes your eyes away from whats actually happening on the screen. So, you either have to watch it twice to get it all or read the book

The simple fact is british Office humor is just not as good as the drier humor of the American version. The Brit version is a step away from a laugh track.
Same with Extras, too overt. Not nearly awkward enough.

And did you honestly say the drier humor is on a LOWER plane of entertainment? I think you just proved my point...

I was actually in The Office building the other day while working on a Wrigleys promotion on the Slough Trading Estate (the biggest trading estate in Europe, but who gives a shit). I think they got a bit pissed off with us doing flash dance and various (poor) imitations while handing out gum... hehe
