Bullshit, usually its bad driving, not speeding. You can drive safety and drive over the speed limit. It`s crazy driving. or superfast driving that will turn you into a vegetable. Thanks for the stupid propaganda.

^^Yeah that`s true but speed will always increase an accidents severity. You have to remember that Force=mass x velocity squared. meaning double your speed increases the impact by four times not double. You are right though inattentiveness probably causes more accidents but it is harder to stop than speeding.

^Force= mass x acceleration. Your thinking of Momentum.

speeding by itself might not cause accidents, but it`s the irresponsible reckless drivers who speed or perform unreasonable manuevers while speeding. also i think there is a big group of speeders who do it for racing or showing off, and those people probably don`t care about what happens to the people around them

^^mahstar mass times velocity squared isnt even momentum. kinetic energy is 0.5*m*v^2 while momentum is just m*v. either way i think there should be a standardized test on this site to check for incompetence.

ok enough with the physics formulae, f=ma, KE= 1/2 mv^2, P= mv.

But yeah, this commercial should be specifically directed against DRUNK driving, not speeding; which is just lame.

You guys are morons, and it is exactly this attitude that causes most accidents. The world is full of people like you who think they are great drivers and it is just "other" people who get into accidents. Speed is THE cause of accidents. ANYONE can make a mistake, even you `hotshots` who think you are awesome drivers because you play Burnout on your xbox 6 hours a day, but it is the people speeding who end up in accidents because speed reduces the time to correct a mistake. Drunk drivers, while a problem that needs to be addressed, only accounts for a fraction of accidents, because most people don`t drink and drive. Speeding happens all the time and thus is the most common cause of accidents. See you in the ER, hotshots.

uuh.... in today`s day and age..... isn`t cell phone use while driving the most common cause of traffic accidents? hence why there`s a whole lot of stuff going around for state-wide bans of cell phone use while driving. i was told one day when i was at work to not use my cell phone if i was driving, because apparently they`re starting to crack down on it a bit more in my area. I hardly even use my cell phone.... and i try extremely hard not to have to use it while i`m driving.

people today aren`t freakin coordinated enough to do two major tasks such as talking on a phone and driving a large chunk of steel around at the same time.

so if your speeding and you come around a corner and there is something in the road and if you were traveling at the posted speed limit but your such a good driver that you can perform feats that say an average driver who also belives he is a better than average driver could avoid it?
