This was in the time when every rapper relied on their REAL voice and not effects to cover up how shitty they really sound (like most rappers now a days). I`m not a big rap/hip-hop fan, but to me...this IS rap.

And to anyone who likes rap but talks shit about techno...WTF do you think rap is?!! It`s techno with lyrics on top of it! Were do think they`re getting these low bass beats/drops from?? It`s coming from drum machines just like techno!

^with that logic you could argue more music is techno, like pop... Rap is like 10x slower than techno. They don`t use random drum rolls... I could go on but i`d be wasting my time.

And on the pissing censor... they used to censor a lot more than they used to.

Don`t get too high up on your horse. Don`t forget that electronic music was born from hip-hop... Great post. And to all of you bitching and moaning that ALL rap and hip-hop sucks now-a-days, don`t be so ignorant. Trust me, I hate the 50 Cents as much as the rest, but good hip-hop/rap does still exist... You just can`t rely on the MTVs and mass media to shove them in your face. You`ve gotta dig a bit deeper than that.

Wow Great Tune, I`m sure i heard it somewhere probably GTA: Vice city.. I love the sound track.

Techno is a wide spectrum like Rock.
I`ve heard some death metal songs that were just as fast as The Techno you are talking about i.e "British Hardcore Rave"

Electronic music wasn`t born from Hip-hop, trust me.
Those electronic sounds were a direct influence from the 1970 pop music. The earliest electronic instrument was made in 1907 and is called the Theremin the only instrument you dont have to touch to play...Pretty awesome stuff.

Haven`t you Americans ever heard of Electro or House?
Thats not fast. They`re relatively New & popular Styles.

I Can`t stand it when people think Techno is Rave...
Its like saying Rolling stones is death metal or something...its just not true.

I don`t know. I`d have to disagree with you, but at the same time, I agree. Let`s just say then, to make a completely robust statement, that electronic music was born from both pop and hiphop. I can definately see where you`re comming from, you need only look as far as groups like The Barkays and such to validate your point. I reckon that Herbie Hancock and Cybertron are excellent examples of oldschool hip-hop that made excessive use of synthisizers and break beats... So I will still stand by my point.

Also, you need not speak in such a condescending tone. First of all, not all of us are Americans, and second of all, Detroit Electro is the genere that gave BIRTH to the electro scene. Where do you think the ED BANGER record label gets a lot of their samples from..?
