And yes, I`d spend my time watching both screens for finger prints.
And that keyboard looks kind of small.

Yeah great, now we have to stare at the screen and wait for the infrared sensors to lag out and put a character on the actual screen 10 seconds later.

That is pretty lame, i type without looking at the keyboard - i mean... doesn`t everybody? it`s much easier if you have KEYS to type them without looking, isn`t it?!

This is an obvious fake but a couple of things to note:

A) clicking sounds are already a non issue. The macbook keyboard is nearly silent an has the nicest feel of any keyboard I`ve ever used. Ditto for the aluminum imac keyboard which is basically the same.

B) In the future when somebody does perfect a startrek interface like this, it`s entirely reasonable to expect that you can just start typing anywhere without looking and the position of the keyboard will adjust to put the home row wherever your fingers happen to be. Since you`d probably be resting your wrists on a touch sensitive part of the display, this would be a trivial task.

C) As a programmer, I can`t imagine going without a tactile keyboard but for artists, muscians, and others who could benefit from an adaptive interface (it doesn`t always have to show a keyboard and track pad, it can be a mixing board, art palette, etc...) something like this would be amazing. It even has very interesting potential for gamers.

Real or not, this technology has been around for a long time and it has little to do with Apple. Also, it`s funny how silly kids pick at something that`s not perfected yet. Ever heard of crawling before walking? I guess you would need to be over 30 to fully realize all the crawling that`s taken place in the last half century.
