Wraith

A small desert town has been harassed for months by a gang of drag racers, but so far no one has done anything to stop them. One day, a ghostly black car shows up, challenging members of the group to race, then killing them one by one. Neither the gang nor the police can catch the car or its driver.

If you`re gonna make a sci-fi movie about a car, at least make it plausible, from how light the car looks it couldn`t push trough the back of 2 cars, but trough the engine... :O

You have to be on drugs not to say "fucking cheap damn movie with a cheap kit-car and cheap explosions of cartboard cars..."

^^^lol this was made before knight rider back to the future and it was B movie. i still think its cool. and this is a rare car to find. we know its fake.. to even point it out is funny, i vote you up for just the time you spent into your statement that we all can see. i would drive it. and i`m guessing that 80% of the people here would too. ohh and by the way it had a force field that goes around it. so i`m saying that the size of the car didn`t matter.

^^^FlavTheApollo, My friends and I went to this movie when I was a kid. And trust me, we knew what Ferrari`s looked like, and Lambourghini`s, but this car at the time topped them. It was sleak, and futuristic. If I remember right it was built by Chrysler, and the emblem was even showen on the car in the movie. The car itself was originally just the shell of a concept vehicle, and never had an engine created for it. So, the sweet hum of the revving engine was added later, from what source I don`t know. Looking back on it now, the car does look like plastic, and not very aerodynamic in the back, but at the time I watched this, it was a dream machine.

I remember watching this as a kid when I was really bored during summer vacation. As soon as I saw the car I was hooked. Acting was poor, but the plot was actually pretty damn good. It would be a really nice remake and I assume if it is done right.....with a kind of stephen king feel to it........It would be a suprise hit.

The car is basicly a ghost. It`s not a physical object. You saw at the start of the clip how the car was crashed, in a thousand peices, and just... reformed. It can do whatever it damn well pleases. If it wants to run through a couple of car engine blocks, or the side of a mountian, for that matter, it damn well will!
