^No, because a fan of the game either hates the Yankees or hates the Red Sox. True fans don`t like both, true fans don`t jump the bandwagons to get votes.

Just my opinion.

To me, its like a Celtic-Rangers, United-Scum (Liverpool), Mickelson-Woods, Michigan-OSU thing, you really can`t like both and you really can`t root for both, no matter the situation.

For example, no United fan, no true United fan was hoping that Liverpool beat AC Milan last year so that an English team would win the UEFA Champions League. I am a fan of football, but I would never, never root for Liverpool.

That being said, there are PLENTY of reasons for Americans not to vote for Rudy, least of which is that he roots for the Red Sox.
