A dramatic 911 call from the Pasadena man who allegedly shot and killed two men accused of burglarizing his neighbor has been released. The dispatcher tried to talk him out of it. Horn (the shooter) has not been arrested or charged with any crime. God Bless America

Wow, I can`t believe so many ppl on here support this killer. No wonder America is so fucked up.

You have the right to defend yourself with deadly force if you are confronted with a situation where you find your life in mortal danger. This trigger happy vigilante CHOSE to confront those two robbers deliberately. And this was against the advice and instructions of the police officer on the other end of the line. Not only was he in no danger, after shooting the first victim, he PURSUED the other fleeing robber down the street and killed him.

God bless America? I don`t think so.

I am hardly one to let people get hurt or abused. Last week on the bus I saw a drunk heavy set woman threatening a young passenger that smiled at her outlandish behavior. So seeing no one doe anything I tapped the drunk girl on the shoulder and told her that what she was doing was unacceptable. Not even the Bus driver helped. I don`t believe in living in a world of intimidation. So I did something. I didn`t threaten violence or anything as I also tried to understand the person that was doing the threatening.

So for all you saying you would do the same thing. When you see someone outnumbered in a bar fight help the person. When you see a homeless person think of a solution. When you talk about crime please come up with something better than a foolish statement like oh they deserved to die or lock them up and throw away the key.

several people in my apartment building heard a woman come close to getting raped in the hall.

I don`t think he should have gone out there either, but shit happens. I would be pissed just watching that happen too. Hearing this call just confirms my belief in having a house alarm. Furhtermore, the 911 disbatcher was 100% correct in saying that property is not worth killing for.

nova1999, in answer to you above comments to me, the news reported that he knew that neighbor on the day that this actually happened and that he had asked them to watch the house. The full 911 tape had not been aired at that time.

Also, when Joe Horn refers to September 1st, he is refering to the date that Texas gun laws were changed in favor of the victim. The new law does not require you to be backed into a corner before you can use deadly force. Florida, were I live, also passed similar legislation recently.

GregP: Listen to the tape that has been posted. He says he hardly knew those neighbors. Post a link to the article that you are referring to otherwise everyone will think you made it up.

^ He didn`t shoot them for robbing. He shot them because they are two people forcing their way into houses with TIRE IRONS. How can people think that two people like that should be allowed on their way? And would everyone saying this Horn guy is sick still think the same if those two armed criminals had just come from beating someone to death with their tire iron?

How dare anyone tolerate the escape of such men. There is too much at risk if they get away. Horn likely has prevented the future death of innocents at the expense of men who have no regard for life.

I don`t think these two guys deserved to die for stealing, but I guess if the police don`t get there in time what other way is there to stop someone? The biggest factor if I was a juror on this case would be whether Joe warned the two to stop before he fired. If they charged or ran at him, then they deserved to die.

Anyway, I see both sides of the argument on whether it was justified or not. I tend to believe these guys were probably career criminals being they were in their 30`s, so society was probably bettered by their deaths.
