^ ya it probably has a gyroscope, but highly doubt it is what keeps it balanced. Looks about same technque the segway uses.

I find it really interesting and think it`s fairly sad that everytime something intelligent is posted here it gets mocked.

Thank you maahinen. And just for you, its not just a gyroscope, but an electronic pendulum as well. The gyro gives it the balance, but the pendulum gives it the point of reference, an "up" and "down". If anyone wants to know more go to http://www.tlb.org/scooter.html and build your own segway!

I once made a robot for a class experiment.
It collects information from it`s surroundings, sifts through them, discards everything and ran into walls.
I suck at programming.
