Richard Dawkins, The Blind Watchmaker (1...

Sorry guys, i should have edited the movie such as to include this the first time round. Someone suggested that it would be cool if those intermediate steps Dawkins talks about actually existed...well they do! And here they are. These videos are only extracts from the Blind Watchmaker Documentary, I encourage you to watch the full thing.

interesting & very cool.

creationists always point to things such as the eye and the complexity of it to further their argument that there must have been a creator, just goes to show how simplistic the eye can be when you break it down.

the complex nature of things just goes to show how far evolution has come. 10/10 for dawkins.

These are great, but just too short. I end up frustratingly craving for more.

What would be good if he could show us animals that are were in the process of getting eyes, nose, legs....

Looking at the theory behind evolution it is strange that there is no evidence to show an animal in the stages of developing eyes, legs, nose, brain...

what goes inbetween these 2, shown with proof? ooze -- Monkey. Finding a few deformed bones of monkes and apes is no proof thaT we came from apes.

By going by their argument Evolutionists saying that deformed babies may be apart of us evolving?

^ SHrews, Moles and cave spiders off the top of my head.

Its hard to take a snapshot of something that happens over 1000s o generations. However, when you mix in the wealth of fossils we have it shows evolution.

However, it sounds like you are one of those people that can`t except fossil evidence.

Yes Cannon, we just happen to have a series of deformed skeletons that simply APPEAR to be changing gradually over time. Kinda weird that they deformed in such a way as to look like they evolved. Deforming just a bit, over successive generations and in different strata levels.

That kind of denial takes faith.

"What would be good if he could show us animals that are were in the process of getting eyes, nose, legs...."

he DID, didn`t you watch the vid? He gave a dozen examples of eyes from all ranges of development.

"By going by their argument Evolutionists saying that deformed babies may be apart of us evolving"

Think of autistic people. Many are capable of incredible feats of intelligence, from pattern-matching and finding beyond the capabilities of a computer, to being able to remember everything with photographic precision; these are not "defects", this is evolution.
The downside is their social ineptitude and "glitches" involved with their not-fully-evolved minds. However, we are seeing that there are some overcoming this; as evident in Daniel Tammet, who has extraordinary abilities but suffers from similisexuality and OCD, but is able to communicate.

Take a look around, what`s evolving right in front of you?

You will take his word for it without him showing you physical proof of an animal in the process of getting eyes?

Dont have a go at people that believe in the bible, because you also have faith.

"Think of autistic people. Many are capable of incredible feats of intelligence, from pattern-matching and finding beyond the capabilities of a computer, to being able to remember everything with photographic precision; these are not "defects", this is evolution."

Evolution = Survival of the fittest. You are saying that mentally challanged people are the fittest and we will all be that way one day?

I think you should pass around what ever it is your smoking so at least i will able to see your view point.

Evolutionsts only think we are evolving when it suits them. If a baby is born with 2 heads : hmm they will decide that is not us evolving; if an autistic kid is a mathimatical genius: hmm yeah that sounds good that must be us evolving because it is positive.

What about the clip that was put on here a few days ago about rare diseases, a guy having root like growths growing out of his hands and legs, is that us evolving?

i`ve never heard of an evolutionist use autism as a sign of evolution; and i certainly wouldn`t argue that such brash and visible defects constitute an evolving race, they are mere flaws in our DNA. Evolution takes time. Time that one person doesn`t have, but generation after generation does.

ren and stimpy had a cartoon in a cartoon, it`s called muddy the mud skipper. As soon as I saw that i believed in evolution.

So explain to me why such flaws are of such use to us, and why incidents of them have picked up every year.

Can you imagine how many stages of idiocy and brain-dead stupidity we went through before we were able to register our imagination?

That disese was a new strain, yes, so by definition it`s evolution. But it wasn`t the man evolving, it was the fungus, or virus, whatever it was. It was new, and effective.

"Evolution = Survival of the fittest."

I thought we`d established that evolution tries everything before something sticks and works wonders for the race; pushing it forward? How are genetic `defects` such as autism, or (as above) a baby being born with two heads NOT evolution? They don`t all pass natural selection to go on and breed, but they certainly are different and (in some cases) more viable. You cannot argue that savants are not capable of being incredibly useful, if the `glitches` are worked out.

Evolution doesn`t just suddenly happen, it tests pokes and prods until it gets something that works. Since we`ve evolved mentally these past few million years, i`d say we`re continuing to; we just haven`t had a mix that passes natural selection yet.

By your defenition with the amount of hurdles evolution has gone through it is a miracle humans are here at all. So how many hundreds of years went by with "Braindead, stupid" Blind (their eyes not developed yet, or any other senses) on earth before they started to think coherently and grew senses?

They could not have survived at all.

Now i am going to wait for you to argue with a ridiculous theory that they survived by breathing and drinking the same way plants do. Hmmm not bad i am sure i could get someone to believe that.
