Ahaha that`s awesome. We have a chipmunk (well he`s likely deep in his hole with the 1000 penuts we gave him to survive the winter now)
However during the summer we always tame this same chipmunk to the point where he`ll sit in your hand and eat while you pet him.
Been doing it at my cottage for years, however never to the point where they would actually let you pick them up so it`s pretty cool.

Oh and before anyone starts crying about the chipmunk getting hurt, trust me it isn`t. They don`t weigh enough to get hurt from a fall like that, it wouldn`t have even phased it.
My ferret throws herself off the bed onto hardwood floors and it doesn`t bother her one bit. She does it over and over as a game. (I never said she was intelligent). So don`t start getting all animal rights over this!

The chipmunks in White Lake provincial (near white river ontario) are like that too... really habituated. Good thing only nature lovers go there....

^^ it would have to have rabies in order to give them to you...pretty sure it would be acting a little crazy if it had them. The thought of it biting you...now thats a different story...its would fucking hurt.

chipmunks are awesome. i remember going to my uncles cottage couple months ago and the keeper there had a few that lived in the wood pile and around it, Hes had them since they were babies because the mother died, and they fell out of the tree that they were living in, they jump all over you but they are to quick and energetic to actually hold. its pretty awesome
