seriously what good band has come out lately lol. everyones started listing to p nifty and GGGGGG GAY UNIT!!!! I don`t really understand how people can tolerate some black guy(dont hate on me all rappers are black geez) sittin in some studio glamorizing how famous they are on the first single. I don;t see how people enjoy someone telling you how many cars and how much money they have while they are pretty much calling you a hater at the same time(unless you got g`s nukka) What is the fascination and why are rappers so cool and PIMP b/c they wrote some song that may or may not have a good beat plus some talking mixed with a cut that plays over and over 50 times. Did these people really work for the so called empire? Or did they just struggle like all of us until they got life handed to them by some record jew? Someone that likes rap should give me a real answer on that b/c all i`ve gotten so far is NAW MEAAANNNNN

At least I still play guitar. I`m going to College for Jazz. There are still good bands out there. Disturbed is coming out with a new album. Plus, you got to look at the death metal scene aswell. Michael Amott from Arch Enemy is fucking amazing at guitar.

I`m no big rap fan, but at least can see that there is a lot more out there than p-shitty. Immortal Technique and the roots are amazing with very thought out and deep lyrics.
I`m a rock fan first and foremost, but saying all rap is like 50 cent is stupid, that`s just the more popular stuff, and it`s shit. That`s like saying "rockstar supernova" is a good representation of rock. It`s stupid.
Tortentiki & KCTron, there`s a lot of great music coming out, but unfortunately you have to look for it, as it`s not usually in the public eye. For rap, check out some of thethiefstheme`s suggestions, there`s not a lot of "im rich fuck you" stuff. Not to say that there`s none, because EVERY group can make bad songs. Or for rock, check out
Shinedown, they do a cover of simple man that`s unreal

Also, there are plenty of bands still coming out that are amazing... you just need to look a bit beyond the mainstream. Just because the vast majority of people listen to shitty music doesn`t mean that shitty music is all that exists now.

@Tokentiki. I hear where you are coming from. I myself love original and classic rock, but heart I am a Hip-Hop fan and the same is true there real hip-hop came out more than 10 years ago now days fucktards eg kanye West are fucking up the music industry. But what I also hate is punks, rockers etc. who say all rap is about about a bunch of black guys talking about how much money they have. In that case all rap fans can say that old music is about taking drugs and sex. Its all down to preference, and usually I`m not fussy as long as it sounds good and is written by the person singing it. Now thats music.
