Just to clear up any confusion, the people operated on in this program gave full consent and were aware of what would be done with their bodies. There are 5 parts to this program (which you should find in the Related Media panel over there ---->

Yes, these vids should be here. I`m even intending to show some of these clips to my students.

Many of my students have seen von Hagens` exhibitions and our school has even sponsored trips to the museums that have shown his work. I`m sure many will enjoy seeing the process of disection, not just the final product.

I like the use of *live* models. One of the things that occurred to me when I saw his show was that they should`ve had live, nude models on site to remind us that we`re ultimately talking about *living* systems. Once the body is dead, it`s life-giving mecahnisms are a moot point.

Again, it`s the 21st century people. Every one of us has a body. The fact that a little tasteful nudity is still such an issue is sad.

(indeed, one of the reasons I like showing these kinds of things to my students is that they are usually far more mature about this sort of thing than many adults in their midst)

Saw his exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry here in Chicago, absolutely loved. Those who find his work disrespectful to the dead are sadly ignorant.

That nudity was tasteful, and necessary. wasn`t some necrosexual parade. Do not delete, plz.

I wish more people could see this and realize that we are not skin and soul, we`re a big machine, no different from what i`m typing on now.

Mortality (i hope) will be seen as openly as sexuality soon, so we may overcome our primal fear of death and corpses.

Wow very interesting. I think these educational video`s should be able to be seen on this web site, for educational purposes obviously.
