Short piece for "prepared piano" - which means nails/pins/caps/etc. are stuck between the strings to give very unusual sound effects. Cage first started doing this while accompanying the Merce Cunningham dance studio, where he got bored with the out-of-tune piano and decided to jazz it up. The piece here is actually repeated twice (it's real short) with difference shots of the strings.
