Buddy Miles is black and he was Hendrix`s drummer.
Also, it helps them get away with the lyrics,
"Braggin that you know how the niggers feelin cold
and the slum`s got so much soul."
BTW, I saw DK at the Olympic in L.A. in 2005 and with
Jello gone the drummer, D.H. Peligro, is now their singer.

Being Cambodian, I heard about this song very late (like 5 years ago?). I doubt many of us know about this song..

Actually going to go holiday in Cambodia in two weeks. This song is awesome so are DK. And any one who bitches about lack of talent should learn about punk, who gives a shit about talent when the music is amazing.

My mother went to one of their shows back in the 80`s when they came to her town. This shitty local rock band was there also, called Agent 86.

Their fat-assed bass player, Mike Briggs, got up onto the stage before the show began, and took the mic. "And now... the Dead Kennedys," he said.

That`s when Jello came running out to the stage, and he pushed him off right into the crowd. "They know who we are!" yelled Jello. Briggs was so fat that no one wanted to catch him, and he landed flat on his fat face.

Along with all of the music I was raised on, there`s always a spot in my heart for the Dead Kennedys. Check out Jello Biafra`s old campaign for the San Francisco mayoral election.

I saw jello twice on his no more cocoons spoken word tour, his music is great but its there that he really shined and came into his own, both he and henry rollins are great musicains but thier spoken word stuff is the shit
