I don`t give a fuck if he did steroids or not. If you have seen ufc 1, 2, 3 and the list goes on you can only say that the guy has amazing nin-jitsu skills and he took out opponents twice his size. You can`t talk about UFC history without mentioning Royce.

And it`s so gratifying to see tank hit the mat lol.

As for Royce being on of the greatest.. He was certainly one of the best of his time. The Gracie style of Ju-Jitsu certainly revolutionised the fight game, but part of the reason was that no-one knew what it was or how to defend it. It`d be like throwing someone a boxer in a kicking only fight.
You`ll notice that now with even a mid-level skill in BJJ and good stand up, people are beating the Gracies left and right. I`m happy to see that it`s turned back into a mostly stand up fight again. BJJ is great, and a nessesity, but you need a lot more than that now to be able to compete. Boxing is still far more difficult to master that ground fighting, but obviously you need more than that as well. Just look what happened when Royce came back against Hughes.
