and he didnt say he wanted to wipe israel off the map; he said it would be better if israel didnt exist in that spot. totally different connotation, although not benign either.

Whatever was said about gays, it`s a fact that Iran executes homosexuals for the simple crime of being homosexuals. The two teens they hanged publicly in 2005, Ayaz Marhoni and Mahmoud Asgari, are only the most well-known and most agregious examples.

Don`t fall into the simplistic trap of believing "The Enemy of My Enemy is My Ally" and lionise Iran simply because the US (who we all hate) likes to demonise Iran.

Iran (or more specifically, the hard-liners there) is hardly worthy of praise. Likewise for the US. The best thing for the peoples of both nations would be for the militant fundamentalists (Muslim or Christian) to be driven from power and marginalised.

I`m american but i believe christians, or any other religion have no right to lead a nation especially since (and I hope you agree) that 75% of wars on this earth have been started becaues of religion in one way or another.. We need an athiest to lead us. One that isnt christian or muslim.. I dont care what color or nationality.

Iran is a beautiful country, its people on the whole are very good hearted. It is the government you should all be hating. Don`t let your anger for a government transmute into hatred for the entire nation.
Take my word for this, the younger generation in Iran are mostly pro American. It is the government that is your enemy, not the people.
