Im pretty sure ive seen that here in Taiwan. theyre used to clean the lake, I think for fish farming or duck farming or somethin. They take all the muck from the surface...

i think its caused by either a natural air bubble or a cave like structure under the lake that just collapse and start filling it up with water... i think it happened somewhere in America before except it was with a mine cave or something but that time it actually "Collapsed" and just sucked the hole lake in in a few min

yeah I remember seeing something like this at a lake near my Godfather`s old place. It was years ago though and I was very young. I wondered what was causing it but I don`t remember if I asked.
