Mother Gives Whiskey to Infant

INDIANAPOLIS -- A mother was arrested after giving her 4-month-old girl whiskey in her bottle, police said.

Indianapolis Metro police said Mary Skaggs, 28, faces two counts of neglect of a dependent and one count of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

Police were called to Methodist Hospital Saturday by a social worker there. Officials said a test revealed that the child had a blood-alcohol level of 0.048.

Investigators said Skaggs told the hospital that she had put whiskey on the girl's gums because she was teething.

Police later determined that Skaggs had put whiskey in the girl's bottle, mixed with formula to try to get her to stop crying.

I wish to personally find this person and show her my form of justice. It is painful, brutal, without mercy and absolute.

If i find someone like this, someone who does something like this, the world will see how much of a sociopath I am. I will kill them without mercy and without hesitation. Such people should be ELIMINATED.

well ... i say yes to whiskey on the baby`s gum so it stops crying ... but it should never be in bigger quantity than when you drip your finger in the alchool bottle ... and NEVER mix it with anything

Oh, so you`re a sociopath, eh? ...As for the topic, I think that the lady went way too far with the old `whiskey on the gums` remedy. If you can`t stop a child from crying about something that they can`t help or even understand (such as teething), then they shouldn`t even have kids in the first place.

If you do that to make her stop crying.. it WILL mean youre gonna do that more often,.... Because there is no other way.
And soon after that.. the baby will cry because its NOT getting that same alcohol.
And that doesnt take long with a small baby.

Americans in the late 1800s used to lace Morphine in the bottle to make babies stop crying.

Oh when i was teething I got Whiskey, but not in the bottle apparently you put it on your finger and rub it around the gums.

and I`m not an alcoholic, infact I`ve been drinking for 6 years....I seem to be drinking less as I grow older.
During examination periods I spend a whole month not touching booze with no ill effects.

Oh well...wateva ...crying baby is not a good enough excuse...get some ear muffs.
